In 1808 he joined in partnership with his uncles John and Joshua Quenton to open a scythe factory in Vermont. 1817 was a representativ in the Vermont Legislature Thomas had two sons, James and Thomas Christie (to help the confuseion of Christie names). in 1884 both were living in Detroit Mich.
